Technocracy, IITD calls for participation in its first Alumni-Student Project, “The Intelligent Notice Board – Prototype to Product”.

Background

• Ever wondered what it takes to transform a lab project to a final product ready for deployment?  The Journey from an idea to a prototype to an end-user product is tough and time-consuming, but at the same time is rewarding and full of experiences... experiences that a degree can never provide.....
• 10% of the ideas reach a prototype stage... of which  a minuscule 10% finally reach the end user....Thus generating an idea is just a small 1% of what you can do with it.........

Intelligent Notice Board

“Intelligent Notice Board” is a novel solution to replace paper based conventional notice boards with elegant, dynamic and decentralized online information dissemination system. Currently, the system is ready to be deployed at IIT Delhi for its prototype evaluation and testing. Around 6 students worked for over a year to bring it to this stage. Yantrr Electronic System (Y.E.S) Pvt. Ltd., a faculty-student startup from IIT Delhi is looking at prototyping and productization of the system which could be deployed across various campuses.

We are now collaborating with Technocracy, IIT Delhi to tap into the pool of innovative student ideas and also have a successful prototype run at our campus to create a use-case for this technology as a product.

• Opportunity to learn operations and management aspects for an actual technology product
• Intelligent Notice Board project is an ongoing project and your technical or managerial skills could directly fetch tangible results. 
• Opportunity to get associated with Digital Hardware Design (DHD) Group in Computer Science department with the project directly mentored by Prof. M. Balakrishnan. 
• Opportunity to get startup experience as the project is backed by Y.E.S Pvt. Ltd (A faculty student startup from IIT Delhi). 
• Opportunity to spread this idea across campuses in NCR
• Opportunity to get associated with Technocracy, IIT Delhi. 
• Opportunity to learn new technology (TI’s Da-Vinci platform for developing multimedia solution in embedded environment, develop a server software working on PHP/MySQL that directly interacts with embedded systems over wired or wireless mediums) and its application to drive innovation.
